Special events such as July 4th, Halloween, etc. 5. Picnic areas available. Popcorn samples are provided when we visited in the Kids project area.

Commute: Parking lot is in front of the ticket booth. It is not hard to find a spot to park. It's free.

Things I wish I had known before: The tour hours in Patterson house is 1pm, 2pm and 3pm. You need to be in front of the porch 5 minutes earlier. Kids under age 6 are not allowed, but when the tour guide lady comes out to pickup the visitors and she does not really enforce this rule. The tour time may vary, please check it in the entrance. When you buy the tickets in the entrance, remember to ask them for the Patterson house toure tickets which gives you the idea what time you are going to join the tour. They do not give it to you until you ask for it. For the first time we did not know this and just paid $20 and did not know for Patterson house there are only 1pm, 2pm, 3pm tours. We missed the 2pm tour and had to wait for the 3pm tour, which caused we missed the last train rider for our kids.
