Title: Hermann park in Houston

Preparation: If you come to the Hermann Park area late morning or in the afternoon, you may have hard time to find a park space. I found a small hidden parking area this summer and this saved us time and money. Hope this will help you too. From Fannin St ==> Hermann Park Dr. ==> ( turn right to) Caroline St.==> (turn right to) Hermann Dr, drive about 1 minute, then you will see that small hidden park lot that very close to the Marvin Taylor Trail. ( see my picture ) In the summer, usually kids will play in the water area. So bring extra clothes and towels for changing.

General opinion: Hermann park is the most visited and beautiful park in Houston. It's worth spending time for your family relaxing here.

Attractions and activities: Hermann Park has many things to do for the kids and adults: 1. Boating, 30 minutes, about $10/boat, each boat can have 4 persons. 2. Ride choo-choo train, young kids love this most. 3. Picnic areas 4. Fantastic playgrounds, 5. Watch or feed pigeons, ducks 6. Visit Japanese Garden, 7. Watch the shows in Miller Outdoor Theater, 8. Play in the water fountains in the summer, 9. Walk or run in the trails, etc
