If you can walk extremely fast without stopping, it might take 2.5 hour or so. The rest area with restrooms is far away from the start point, the Ohlone college parking garage area. After you walk 1.5 to 2 hours, you may be reach the restroom area. A hiker friend named Shree told me the rest area has been built for the parachuting or skydiving people. If it's summer, start early in the morning. There are some shade areas along the hiking path after you walked around 30 or 40 minutes. Some hikers like to use all trails map or Samsung Health if you have Samsung phone to track where you are. But sometimes in certain area you may not have the signal and cannot have any Internet connection. If you have young kids and elders in your family, do not plan to reach the peak. Just hike as much as your family are comfortable with. Even for the adults, if you have no hiking experience, it may take you a few times to practice before you finally reach the peak. Parking; you can drive to the garage of Ohlone college and parking there. During the school break season, such as summer, or weekends, parking is free when there is no class. When you get to the entrance, remember to take a map from a box.
