Attractions and activities: Facts: Three former PayPal employees - Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim—founded the company YouTube in February 2005; The domain name “YouTube.com” was activated on February 14, 2005; The first YouTube video was uploaded on 23 April 2005. "Me at the Zoo" shows co-founder Jawed Karim at the San Diego Zoo; Google bought the site in November 2006 for US$1.65 billion; The first adverts were rolled out in August 2007; In May 2010, YouTube served more than 2 billion views a day; By March 2013, YouTube was now seeing 1bn monthly active users; The platform has over 1.9bn logged in monthly users; 6 out of 10 people prefer online video platforms to live TV; YouTube is the world’s second largest search engine and second most visited site after Google. ... Commute: Parking is very easy. Just park your car along the street Cherry Ave area which has a highway bridge overhead.

Things I wish I had known before: Youtube's headquarter office is very close to Walmart's San Bruno office. A friend told me that in Union City's Walmart, there is a morning shuttle he can take to go to youtube office to work.
